    SBE MIAMI One

     

     

    Act as the lead engineer in the absence of the director of engineering. Manage all staff on a daily basis assuring that the faciliy stays in top shape and like new condition. Inspects all major equipment and mechanical/electrical rooms to assure they are in perfect order, clean well-marked and locked.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Meet with DOE to maintain schedule of engineering staff to assure that all shifts are covered at all times.
    • Conduct daily property walkthrough.
    • Manage and use HotSos.
    • Train personnel in the essential functions of the facility assuring that all staff is capable of maintaining the facility on their own if need be.
    • Report to director of engineering any equipment malfunctions and assist with the repair or redesign in order to assure systems are functioning perfectly at all times.
    • Manage the daily preventative maintenance program to assure that the system is on time and logged as required.
    • Perform or manage the monthly inspection and operation of all equipment to achieve and maintain compliance with all insurance and municipal requirements.(i.e. Generator dry load test, stand pipe and fire sprinkler system, fire pump test)  
    • Manage all engineering facility operations including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, pools, refinishing/panting and general maintenance operations.
    • Maintain stock and par levels of the facility engineering inventory.
    • With DOE assistance, maintain the budget and purchase order system to assure that the department expenditures fall below budget and within 5% of budget.
    • Provide daily stand up pre shift meetings with the engineering department on all shifts as well as post shift for the department. Interface with all other departments assuring cooperation from the engineering department on service issues.
    • Schedule contractors and vendors to provide service for the facility when needed during emergent situations as well as regularly scheduled events.
    • Engineering Manager must be available for all project and emergent situations when needed at the facility.
    • The engineering manager will direct the departmental safety program.
    • This includes all training as well as inspecting of tools and facility equipment in order to assure a secure safe environment for the department as well as other staff members and our guests.

    Qualifications

    • 5 years or more performing as an engineering supervisor or crew supervisor in hospitality environment. Ability to use computers in the windows environment.  Ability to work an 8 hours plus shift, walking, stretching, lifting and communicating. Available to work any shift any day. Ability to work with hand and power tools in order to cover any department position or assisting staff if the need arises including, general maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and landscape.
    • High School diploma, trade school and or trade experience.
    • Dress in uniform; black/grey pants and shirt, black work shoes (not snicker style shoes) with black belt. All personnel will have a flash light, hotsos device and most needed hand tools as an essential part of their uniform at all times. Shoes and belt must be shined and buffed daily. Shirt tails will be tucked in at all times. Personnel will maintain uniforms in like new condition at all times. Uniforms will be replaced when necessary. General Maintenance personnel must appear fresh clean and professional at all times. General Maintenance personnel will use PPE during all jobs depending on the hazards at hand.
