    Bazaar Mar by José Andrés, is a ground-breaking new experience that lights up downtown Miami with a vibrant mix of sophisticated cuisine, playful indoor and outdoor lounge spaces. Highlights include sea snacks, an extensive raw bar, whole fish, Bazaar classics and carefully curated wines list in Philippe Starck's strikingly setting that transcends an ordinary event into a fête extraordinaire.

    Responsible for serving food, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages for guests in a courteous and efficient manner while adhering to sbe standards.     

    Responsibilities

    Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
     
    1.         Take drink orders from guests and serve drinks (food orders where applicable).
    2.         Adhere to the proper par stock ordering procedures.
    3.         Complete and oversee set-up and clearing of the Lounge area.
    4.         Monitor and maintain the floor sections and Lounge area.
    5.         Perform other related duties as assigned.   
     

    Qualifications

    Education:
    High school education or equivalent.     
     
    Experience:
    • Relevant experience in a high quality, high volume operation preferred.  
    • Minimum 1 year experience as a cocktail server at a restaurant of similar caliber.
    • Knowledge of flare bartending skills. Knowledge of the basic functions of beverage operations. 
    • Knowledge of all liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages. 
    • Strong knowledge of wines and spirits. 
    • Ability to perform basic math skills. 
    • Ability to handle money and make correct change. 
    • Ability to read, write, and understand English. 
    • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff. 
    • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.     
     
    License/Certificate:
    • Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) required.
    • Food Safety Employee Training required.   

     

    Typical Physical/Mental Demands:
     
    • Requires mobility and prolonged standing. 
    • Bending and reaching to a height of eight feet. 
    • Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to thirty (30) pounds. 
    • Working at a height of four (4) feet. 
    • Normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound. 
    • Normal vision and hearing range. 
    • Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. 
    • Ability to distinguish letter, symbols, and colors.
