Responsibilities

Senior Accountant - Nightlife 

 

Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to handle the Nightlife and Corporate accounting functions.  This position will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure financials are accurately stated, balance sheet items are supported and external deadlines are adhered to. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close and financial reporting for several Nightlife venues   
  • Prepare general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Work closely with external partners and operations (General Managers, Nightlife Directors) to prepare and review financial data
  • Prepare adequately supported balance sheet reconciliations
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when needed
  • Prepare annual budget in collaboration with operations and finance teams
  • Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and analysis of financial data
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to obtain necessary information
  • Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy
  • Ad hoc reporting as required

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3- 6 years of related experience
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team player with ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and produce results, while adhering to deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills using excel, accounting software and databases
  • Experience with Hyperion, Blackline and Navision helpful, but not required
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP
