Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):

  • Responsible for Security operations for an assigned shift.
  • Responsible for the daily supervision of Security Officers on a shift.
  • Responsible for directing subordinates and completing performance reviews.
  • Responsible for reviewing and editing of incident reports prepared by subordinates for completeness and accuracy.
  • Interacts and assists Manager on Duty.
    necessary to provide adequate security protection.
  • Submits written reports of any breach of laws, regulations, policies and procedures to the Security Director.
  • Enforces policy and procedures, rules, and regulations and Gaming Compact requirements.
  • Initiate informal disciplinary actions on subordinates.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of all assigned keys.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all radios and other equipment used by Security personnel.
  • Responds to emergency incidents and take actions as necessary.
  • Responds to internal security alarms and take action as necessary.
  • Provide for and/or schedule additional security as needed.
  • Assists in training of department staff and developing and implementing standard operating procedure manual for department.
  • Ensures radio and keys are operating properly.
  • Prepares reports and correspondence as required.
  • Ensures department's daily records are accurately maintained.
  • Provides first aide/CPR until advanced care arrives.
  • Maintains logs on key holders, radios and other inventory.
  • Maintains a good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.




  • Two years security experience 
  • First Line Supervisor qualified 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Available to respond as needed in emergency situations 


High school education or equivalent.



State of Florida (Class D) Security License. CPR certification and first-aid training.


Typical Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Requires mobility. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling. 
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace. 
  • Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 150 pounds. 
  • Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. 
  • Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors. 
  • Normal vision and hearing range.Other:  
  • Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with sbe rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
