    Responsibilities

    GENERAL MANAGER/ HOTEL

    Dubai

     

     

    Financial Management

    Responsible for the short and long-term profitability of the hotel.

    Delivers value through strong financial management that drives revenue, profitability and market share.

    Reviews and authorizes budgets to ensure results are achieved in both revenue and expense.

     

    Guest Experience

    Ensure positive, personalized guest experiences.

    Utilize guest/customer feedback to improve service delivery.

    Serve as a brand and service culture advocate and ensure that the intent of the brand is reflected in the guest experience; communicate a clear and consistent message regarding the hotel.

     

    Leadership

    Communicate, clarify and operationalize property goals and priorities to associates, owners, and guests.

    Analyze operations to evaluate performance of the property in meeting objectives.

    Determine areas of improvement and successfully implement those changes.

    Attract and select talent, coach and develop teams, and engage and align people to action.

    Manages the flow of labor between departments and creates an environment of engagement.

     

    Owner Relations

    Builds strong rapport with property owners through proactive and on-going communication; keeps owner informed of brand initiatives and guest experiences.

    Provides and presents reports for owners using financial/performance data.

    Manages an effective balance between owner interests and company interests and develops solutions that create value for both; develops and effectively promotes ideas for improving property service and profitability.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Course of Study: Business Administration, Hotel Administration or related preferred.
    • 5+ years of the hotel operations leadership experience with a capability for strategic decision making and demonstrated financial and business acumen.
    • Hotel opening experience is mandatory.
    • Demonstrated success and leadership in the areas of customer satisfaction, operational excellence, employee satisfaction, revenue and profit. Active personal involvement with the sales strategy/process, with emphasis on continuing to increase visibility and positioning of the hotel.
    • A visible, proactive, personally involved leader with excellent organizational, influencing and communication skills, capable of engaging hotel staff to deliver exceptional services.
    • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to partner, align and collaborate with key internal partners to leverage all of sbe’s internal resources.
