The Pastry Cook is responsible for production, preparation, and presentation of desserts and pastries for The Bazaar, while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The ideal candidate must be innovative, creative, detail-oriented, and a multi-tasker with good communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
Assists with preparation/cooking in other stations as requested.
Keeps work station neat and orderly - "clean as you go".
High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Advance degree or specialized training highly desirable.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:
Bakery certificate or apprenticeship helpful.
Food Handlers Certification
At least one year pastry/baking experience.
Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment
Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations and requests while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
Excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English is a must.
