Overview

 

This position contributes to Cleo's success by providing amazing customer service to everyone. Our barista/cashiers help create the Cleo daytime experience for our guests by providing them with prompt service, quality food and drinks, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Disruptive Restaurant Group.
  • Anticipates customer and restaurant needs by constantly evaluating environment and guests for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary
  • Assists with new team training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers by acting with an “always say yes!” attitude and connecting with the guest. Discovers and responds to guest needs. 
  • Follows Cleo operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift. 
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that team members can locate resources and product as needed. 
  • Provides quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products. 
  • Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods. 
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance



Qualifications

 

  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality 
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends, and/or holidays 
  • Meet restaurant operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation 
  • Engage with and understand our guests, including discovering and responding to guest needs through clear and pleasant communication 
  • Experience in a high volume, service focused restaurant or coffee shop a plus 
  • Possess basic computer abilities and experience working with a POS system. 
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the company. 
  • Delivers exceptional customer service 
  • Maintains calm demeanor during periods of high volume. 
  • Must be self-motivated, constantly striving to improve their knowledge. 
  • Be able to maintain excellent customer service skills & high service standards in a constantly changing environment. 
  • Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral. Multilingual skills are a plus. 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older. 
  • Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for guests, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients 
  • Available to perform many different tasks as a team player within the restaurant during each shift
