Cleo is hiring a Line Cook

 

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for ensuring the highest quality food is served at all times. The Line Cook handles all aspects of their assigned cooking station – sets up, stock product, cook, and presents dishes according to recipes, cleans, sanitizes and maintains equipment, utensils and tools. Have fun and make friends!!

 

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Continuous use of hands and arms.
  • Works with a sense of urgency.
  • Communicates with management, and all other team members to immediately rectify any and all customer needs and requests.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of recent experience relevant to this position.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
  • Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral.  Multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.
  • Understands and enforce federal, state, and local food sanitation regulations.
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
  • Ability to work in elevated temperatures.
  • Continuous bending, reaching and twisting required.
  • Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations and requests while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb and carry objects as needed per business needs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and manually push/pull up to 150 pounds.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English is a must.
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
